I’ve been in my writing cocoon for a while now. But I am happy to say that a full draft of the manuscript of my Woolson biography is complete and now in the hands of my brilliant editor, Amy Cherry at Norton. I feel an odd mixture of relief and trepidation. A tremendous weight has lifted, but I also know that there is still a long way to go and much rewriting to come.
Now that the bulk of the work is done (at least I hope so), I’ll be writing blogposts more in the coming months about each step of the process. I am curious to see how it all works, this book publishing thing. I’ve done it before but with an academic press that kept things pretty low key. This will be much more of an adventure. I am excited for it to begin . . .
way to go!
Good luck on your journey! I love the phrase ‘writing cocoon’ – that’s just what it’s like!! Thx for sharing 🙂
Congratulations, Anne!

Thanks Sarah!
Well done! I am moving back to my home country in ten days, but I will stay updated on your work through your blog. I look forward to following the process.
