Gearing Up and Reaching Out

Publication day (Feb. 29) is six and a half weeks away. The pre-publication reviews are in, and now I sit and wait. Or not. I’m not very good at sitting and waiting.

So I’m working on getting a few things going. First, another (final) Goodreads giveaway is in progress. If you would like a free copy (not a galley this time) of Constance Fenimore Woolson: Portrait of a Lady Novelist and/or Miss Grief and Other Stories, head on over there.

I have also written and/or pitched some articles that will come out in February at various outlets. Stay tuned.

And my publisher is reaching out to book bloggers. If you run a blog and would like to review the Woolson biography and/or the collection of her stories, you can get in touch my publicist for galleys.  I’m also available for Q&A’s and perhaps a guest blog, so let me know if you are interested.

I have also begun a relationship with the website Women Writers, Women’s Books, which I have followed with interest for sometime. It is a wonderful resource and community for women writers and readers that has an international reach, particularly in the US, UK, and Australia, it seems. I have agreed to become a sponsor, which means they will feature my book prominently on their site and in their Twitter feed for the month of March.

Another item on my radar is the UK publication of both books at the end of March. I’m hoping to find some ways to reach out to audiences across the pond. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Finally, I’m working with Norton to create an exciting giveaway to new subscribers (and old faithful ones) to my newsletter. More news on that very soon!

I contacted Norton and your agent as you told me to apply for e-galley copies of the biography AND the stories but received nothing. I was asked to send another e-mail address, which I did without any answer. And not living in the US, I do not qualiffy for Goodreads. Sigh: decededmy unlucky! 🙂

That’s too bad! If you email me, I can write to my publicist on your behalf.
